When I first started my agency I couldn't believe how so many new reporters had 'stipulations' as far as how far they would travel to attend a job. Some reporters wouldn't drive beyond a certain number of miles from their house. One reporter, in fact, would absolutely not take any job that required travelling on a freeway. She had to map out a route using only surface streets. Obviously, it's much hard to find work for such a reporter with those kinds of limitations. My advice for reporters is to get a GPS, gas up & go!
