What is Halloween Good for?

I visited some law firm clients yesterday -- just my usual hey, how are you.  The difference was that I was dressed as Count Dracula.  As much fun as it would be to dress like Count Dracula every day of the year (not!), you can only get away with it once a year on or around Halloween.

As the Count, I encountered a space girl, a pregnant nun, a hulu girl, a nasty nurse passing out N1H1-tainted blood, several witches, and a Kate Gosselin.  As you may have guessed, the Kate Gosselin was the scariest.  My costume was a great conversation starter and made my visit stand out even more.  I got to talk to secretaries that I normally would not have had access.  It's that vendor/client distance thing, you know.  Anyway, that's what Halloween was good for (for me) this year.

How is your marketing standing out these days? Is it blending in with the rest of the crowd.  Or are you at least attempting something creative and just going for it?

Questions to ask yourself:

  • What makes me unique as a court reporter/court reporting agency?
  • Where can I improve in showcasing that uniqueness (even just a little)?

I'm not sure my inner vampire qualifies as something uniquely unique for me, but at least I know I left a mark yesterday.  Mwuaaaaaaaa!
