Court Reporting Association NCRA Joins Accessible Technologies Group

I found this blurb about the court reporting association's technology path... NCRA has joined the Coalition of Organizations for Accessible Technology (COAT) to advocate for legislative and regulatory safeguards that will ensure full access by people with disabilities to evolving high speed broadband, wireless, and other IP technologies. The coalition includes more than 70 national and local groups.

Our participation in COAT further extends our relationship with organizations representing consumers of captioning and CART services, says Mark Golden, CAE, NCRA Executive Director and CEO.

This gives us a great opportunity to work towards goals of common interest in the area of digital communications, such as captioning live digital TV programs and Webcasts.
